About Shadowgeist
Shadowgeist is a brand name of Shadowdancers L.L.C., known by its tradename since 1990 as Shadowdancers Digital Press or SDP Multimeida Group.
The term means "Dark Spirit of Our Time", and is based on the English word "Shadow" and Latin for "spirit" (Geist). The term is the 2010 brand
name for the company workstation product, designed to compliment the grid computing technology the firm developed in the late 1990s under the
trademark "Dream Engine", "Dream Machine", and "Dreamscape" solutions.
Due to purposeful infringement by major competitors in advertising, a harder edgy name was chosen to discourage claims of "accidental infringement"
by major corporation - who repeatedly sought to disparage the brand in favor of their positive and upbeat sub-standard solutions.
Project Shadowgeist
at SDP Multimedia, in partnership with LLC departments Militech Systems and Militech.ORG, provides top-tier engineering and longevity at a price that
complies with regional and national tax guidelines for business accounting. The tax structure makes building your own computer or maintaining it
(upgrading, recycling major landfill components, etc) very difficult in the USA. Shadowgeist, and Militech Systems, sought to create a system with
5 year lifespan and return on investment supior to conventional computer technology - contrary 3 year depreciation cycle in State and Federal law.
Because these are not "disposable" or "cheap" computer solutions, certain market segments remain outside our reach. However, our drive to provide a
channel reseller system and clearing house for older components - removing this graft-intensive area of in-house IT support - is a great value to
many small to medium sized businesses. Because we handle exchanges and bulk surplus in the lifecycle of the machine, lease options, and market watch
over technology trends, our clients are free to focus on using - rather than disposing and replacing - IT resources and physical equipment.
Reducing computer waste helps communities as well as offering end-of-life equipment to schools and charity organizations.
