Our Product
Consumers need to be aware that not all personal computers (PC) are alike, and certain tools greatly augment specific tasks. Our systems
are built for users with need of high precision (10-bit) color support at the hardware level (versus 8 bit on most PC systems). Our
platforms also have parallel architecture for rapid precise calculations using 128-bit precision video chipsets unlike conventional
computers designed for games and word processing.
The systems sold also focus on advanced API tools like Open CL and CUDA language support in the video subsystem - allowing for high
performance in specific applications optimized for those features - like Adobe products, 3D Studio, Maya, and similar software. For
3D artists, the precision of color depth, range, and speed are vital to performance in time-billing.
Likewise, our memory subsystems are optimized, using the fastest frequency available for system memory architecture and processor bus.
Many retail units ship with lower rated equipment, inferior product, and components that may only cost a few Dollars difference but
impact speed by 20% or more in dedicated applications. These cuts are done to meet consumer expectations, and operate on the basis
that consumers don't know any better in impulse and local buying. Powerful systems can cost $10,000 or more, but similar capatibility
sets for precision and quality can be achieved within a very small budget for entry-level professional graphics developers and artists.
The core mission of Shadowgeist is to build both a better system, and to help our customers understand the value of such investments
within their budget and intended use, as far as we can under law without incurring liability for that final use or return due end-user
application of our technology. We can educate, but ultimate liability remains that of the customer in business and choice of product.
