By Direct Orders
Direct Order is the most simple and traditional method - in which the customer provides means of payment
such as a credit card or paypal authorization.
Direct orders will be billed at the time the purchase is authorized, to faclitate assembly of high-end
parts and labor, service to assemble, and pre-shipping quality testing to meet certifications for Shadowgeist
Warranty obligations.
Why isn't everything at Shadowgeist available for Direct Order?
Some payments (over $5000 USD) are not suitable for credit card or debit card transactions, and must be
supported in certain states by contracts detailing the terms of sale, liability, coverage, warranty terms,
limitations, and specifications for compliance with law. These services are better suited to contract terms.
Other services are variable in their billing and require the customer to work effectively with a professional
agent or liasion with whom they must communicate their exact business needs, expectations, and limitations of
budget and working goals. These services are essentially not always available to every customer, may require
agreement of a personal nature between the skilled worker and the client or content to be developed, and are
frequently subject to dispute or delay over communication issues or disagreement with realistic goals and
outcomes of service costs which vary widely and are not defined in commodity services.
Therefore, customers
and talent in this area may use appointment or contract terms to reach a better agreement and require payment
or deposit of a security prior onset of significant work. Such terms are not suited to credit card payment or
customer-satisfaction guarentees and protections inherent in major payment services without a written contract.
Direct order usually covers commodity products with a defined and identical value, whose loss can be quantified
and shipment tracked from vendor to client including release and insurance supporting safe delivery. While the
firm does accept EFT and money order, direct order terms may require contract signature for orders in excess of
$10,000 or specialized legal services such as notary endorsement for large purchases in contract. A direct order
is supported by phone staff who can assist the client in meeting any requirements prior shipment, and ensuring
successful transaction fitting the product and volume of order.
